Board & Committees
The WTG is governed by a fifteen member Board of Directors. The Board is elected by the members every two years and meets monthly. The all-volunteer Board oversees the finances of the organization, plans its programs and maintains the building.

The Board has created five active committees within the organization, the Fundraising Committee, the Play Reading Committee, the Volunteer Committee, the Social Media Committee and the Public Relations Committee.
The Fundraising Committee (Martha Funderburk, Chairperson) raises funds to help with the operating costs of the building. The Committee holds several events throughout the year including a tag sale in January, raffle in the spring and a fall Chocolate Festival and Auction. The Committee is always seeking new members interested in helping to raise funds for the WTG.
The Play Reading Committee (Robin Rice, Chairperson) is responsible for planning the Guild's season of plays. The Committee solicits suggestions from WTG members and researches community theatre trends across the country through the American Association of Community Theatres (AACT). Committee members read dozens of plays each year to find the right combination of comedy, dramedy and musical for the Guild's Main Stage Season as well as additional productions for the year. In January or February of each year the Play Reading Committee proposes a season to the Board of Directors for approval. Once the season is approved, it is announced to potential directors and the public.
The Public Relations Committee (Linda Miles, Chairperson) represents the Windham Theatre Guild at various community events in an attempt to market the organization and its activities to the Greater Windham area. Visit us at Third Thursday from May to September, at the Know Your Town Fair in September and at many Chamber of Commerce Business with Pleasure events.
The Volunteer Committee (Pam Pellegrine, Chairperson) recruits, schedules and cultivates the volunteers that are the engine of the Windham Theatre Guild. The organization is run 100% by volunteers. The only people who are paid for their services are Music Directors, Musicians and Choreographers. Directors, actors, production staff, office staff, building staff, board members and everyone else who contributes to the operations of the Windham Theatre Guild are volunteers. The WTG could not exist without these volunteers and this committee works to find new volunteers, provide opportunities to current volunteers and appreciate all WTG volunteers.
