Fractured Theatre @WTG is committed to providing an alternative to the Windham Theatre Guild mainstage season by focusing on more modern and thought provoking pieces and bringing them to life in the quiet corner.  The Spring Fractured production will be Body Awareness,  the first major play from Pulitzer Prize winner and MacArthur Fellow, Annie Baker.  Having been heralded by the playwright as a “play about issues that isn’t an ‘issue play’” this show follows Phyllis, a psychology professor organizing a “Body Awareness Week” on campus, her partner Joyce, and Joyce’s adult son Jared.  The underlying tensions of the household are augmented by the presence of a visiting photographer, Frank, whose subjects of choice offends Phyllis.  When Joyce begins to side more with Frank, and Jared begins going to him for advice, the nature of relationships begin to change.
